Supporting more or less current IE versions is bad enough. We don't need to support hopelessly outdated versions as well. This is the newest IE available for Windows NT 4-Me. Notably, Server 2003 can update to IE8.
I guess side-effect free patches will be accepted if someone wants to bother, but I wouldn't help my breath that anyone will care.
