Re: stack trace: Make sure to run java process matching jstack, usually in a JDK distribution (at least on RHEL). Then the tools should work. Easy to test after startup when you don't yet need the stack trace!
Needs to be reproduced (+ much more information provided) on recent Jenkins version.
