Daniel Beck commented on Bug JENKINS-13753

If I understand http://diis.net/putty/wishlist/no-terminal-window.html correctly, this is a limitation of plink which requires user interaction to be enabled to run.

Options I can think of:

  • Run the service as a different user
  • Don't run the node as a service. Try to launch a JNLP slave on Windows (inside a cmd.exe), not log off, and run the same code on that slave.
  • Allow desktop access from the service

I'm pretty sure it's just Windows sucking too much, not a Jenkins issue.
