Options I can think of: Run the service as a different user Don't run the node as a service. Try to launch a JNLP slave on Windows (inside a cmd.exe), not log off, and run the same code on that slave. Allow desktop access from the service I'm pretty sure it's just Windows sucking too much, not a Jenkins issue.
