I encountered the same issue on RHEL 5.9 64-bit, master node.
I also deliberately did not configure Ant installation as I'm using Weblogic's Ant at $WL_HOME/server/bin folder. Configuring Jenkins Ant installation with Weblogic Ant won't work as Weblogic Ant doesn't look like an Ant directory.
I have injected the PATH with EnvInject and it still doesn't work.
