It's a silly but useful thing - as well as embedded build status images, if you could also have last build date and time images too that would tell people how stale or not the build status is.
I'd personally prefer a separate set of embeddable images for those who don't want this feature, but you could fold the date and time into the existing images if you really wanted to.
