I am seeing the exact same error as Bruno. The adb documentation says that the "adb connect" command defaults to port 5555. In the console log "adb connect emulator-xxxx" doesn't specify a port #. Could this be fixed by specifying the correct port in that command (adb connect emulator-1234:1234)? Just a thought, not sure if this is the problem.
