I have the same problem as the reporter with 1.4.1. Downgrading to 1.3 solved the problem.
OS: CentOS 6.5: 2.6.32-431.el6.x86_64
Java: java-1.7.0-openjdk-1.7.0.65.x86_64
stephenconnolly: Setting -Djnr.ffi.library.path=/usr/lib64:/lib64:/usr/lib:/lib as JVM Option on the affected node did not help.
