The {null} values has nothing to do with workspace, the logic[1] that prints exceptions is wrong. Fixed as a side-effect of https://github.com/jenkinsci/ws-cleanup-plugin/pull/20/files.
I am tempted to close this issue as the cause of exceptions is unknown and can even be different in each case.
