Sorry for the delay (been out on vacation). I'm travelling the next few weeks with work, but hope to make some progress with Jenkins.
If the polling interval is shorter than the sync time, I could see how this situation would occur. I will have to either:
1. check builds in-progress and only trigger on new changes? or
2. stall polling if a build is already in-progress?
