AFAIK Jenkins doesn't allow you to specify execution on a specific node. You'd just use the node's self label. If that is reused as regular label elsewhere, things break down. I'm not sure this is a Jenkins bug (+ it cannot be prevented other than removing the concept of implied self label which will break a lot of installations).
The plugin could still solve this by implementing this feature using e.g. QueueTaskDispatcher.
