I have the same problem (the first stack trace). I think second is not related. Scenario is as follows:

  • slave is needed
  • plugin is starting amazon instance
  • plugin is checking if instance is present and fails (the stacktrace)
  • but in fact instance is started and stays forever

This is serious problem, as these instances are never released and doing nothing. Could we please increase priority of this issue?
