Jenkins version 1594, Credentials Plugin 1.20, subversion plugin 2.5 The error message is new: It is now Caused by: org.tmatesoft.svn.core.SVNCancelException: svn: E200015: E200015: ISVNAuthentication provider did not provide credentials; HTTP authorization cancelled. For me this is a blocker. It makes Jenkins the wrong tool to use with Subversion-Externals.
