It's been a while since I tried installing/updating through the update center, but I believe it did work some time ago. I believe nothing has changed in config except for upgrading Jenkins.
Yes, the proxy configuration is set up in the Advanced tab. As noted above I can download the plugins using curl/wget with system http proxy set.
The version of Jenkins is 1.600-SNAPSHOT (private-01/28/2015 01:11 GMT-jenkins) - installed this because it had a fix in there which I wanted. But had the same problem installing/updating on 1.598.
Can anyone reproduce this error? Are other people getting this?
