This looks interesting. However, according to its current description, the Literate plugin is not production-ready, and should only be used in test environments. Is this view now outdated and how safe is it? How far from release is it? Unfortunately, with 180+ active projects being built on-demand here, I do not have enough time left in a day to also debug and work around problems in the plugin.
