Issues with easy workaround are Minor by definition, at least according to Jira.
Note that this likely has nothing to do with SCM Sync Plugin. It's probably just too many plugins contributing to the form data submitted by the job config form. Attaching the HTTP request sent by your web browser would be necessary to confirm this.
