I wonder if some sort of system of figuring out if there are slow loading plugins, or other issues with plugins could be designed. During load, and during config are the big headaches I've seen...it would be nice to have some sort of "these plugins are taking a long-time to load" report...or some generic stat reporting system that could aggregate plugin performance across different setups and try to determine what combinations of setups cause problems. (ie. this plugin starts to suck after 10 jobs, or when there are lots of tasks).
