Lowering priority and change type since there is a workaround for this. A user could just add an extra build step to make all files in the workspace writable when the know that their project will make read-only files.

There is a deeper problem to deal with though. There should be a limit on how many times the sync step is allowed to fail. At some point, it should stop trying to poll until there is some sort of manual intervention. This should atleast be the case when the project uses a short polling period. Otherwise builds could potentially fail all night and/or weekend and user will be spammed with build failure emails.
