When attempting to upgrade to 1.608 from 1.607, the 'preparation' checks all pass (Checking update center connectivity -> Success). But Jenkins.war = pending, and similarly if I try to update a plugin, they are all pending.
Not sure what the problem is, but the fact that the connectivity check to update center passes, yet all subsequent actions fail is concerning.
I typically update Jenkins with every new build, and haven't seen this before, and when I noticed that there were changes implemented re: 'packaging' a couple of days ago, the timing seems suspect. Please feel free to transfer this to 'core' if it is truly unrelated to 'packaging'..
