Setting up a jenkins instance behind a proxy as the host doesn't have access to the internet. Both the Updates and the Available tabs come up empty.
Under advanced settings I've set Server to the FQDN of our proxy as well as the port. I've left user name and password blank (though jenkins fills in a password of some sort when I submit). No proxy host is left blank. It claims update information was last obtained 43 years ago, clicking check now takes me to a Checking Updates screen where it just sits. I'm running Ubuntu 12.04LTS using Jenkins 1.480.3 downloaded from the package repository at http://pkg.jenkins-ci.org/debian-stable I've tested proxy access from the command line using wget and it works properly. I've tried adjusting log levels to see if I can get some debug info from the system but so far I've not had any luck. I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this.
