The free license is renewed every year (so we can see how many people are
active using the plugin), so if your license is a bit old you may just need
to refresh it.

Jenkins > manage Jenkins > manage licenses

Should tell you when the license is due to expire...

If expired, easiest is to ensure on latest CloudBees-license plugin as that
will auto-renew your free license... Otherwise you need to complete signup
at CloudBees (you created a stub account when you got the license
initially... So we can show off our Jenkins as a service to you and try and
win you over to a managed Jenkins on the "well we've already given you a
free one with 300min/month so maybe you'll try it" basis) if you didn't
complete the stub account creation you can either complete the account
creation, or signup a new account

Once you gave your active account on Grandcentral.cloudbees.com just go to
https://licenses.cloudbees.com/ and you can generate all the free licenses
you need any time you want
