No, actually I did not set it up :( And, I assume it is defaulted to some location which I am not able to find and that is why re-installs still remember and ask for log-in.
I just tried adding the CATALINA_OPTS and JENKINS_HOME now, but it is of no use - I guess I have to know the default path or do something for it to forget the config and then the config.xml might be added in the path specified by CATALINA_OPTS or JENKINS_HOME...
