Besides all this I realized that after posting the login form I'm been 
redirected to a wrong URL. Say jenkins is running 
https://jenkins.example.com/jenkins/, then after posting the login form I 
end up on  https://jenkins.example.com//jenkins/. Does this has anything to 
do with the login problem?
