Hi all, Sorry for excavating an old thread. I thought I'd be better for future reference since this thread is also one of the first foundable through archive/google. Realizing we still run our Jenkins server with Java 6, I started thinking about running it with JDK7 or JDK8.
>From this thread in february, it was still unsupported. But I seem to remember other threads talking about it (and in the meantime java 8 went GA). Anyway, reading https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Meet+Jenkins : "you need the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.6 or later. " So, JDK8 is supposedly supported. Is this page still up-to-date? If not, or if there're specifics like the first Jenkins version to support Java 8 or so, would we be able to add those informations? Thanks for the heads up.
