I guess this is due to the numerous changes in the Jenkins UI redesign that started around 1.572 and after. With the way that plugin seems to work (overriding/adding CSS IIUC), I guess this is gonna be difficult if not impossible to be backward compatible.
>From the last release date, it does not seem very active (so, unmaintained now?) but maybe it's because it's simple & small and didn't need much work (at least now I guess there should be some work to make it usable with last versions).
