Hello, Is there any way wherein we can get the sanpshot of the box using the combination of Jenkins and chef. Using chef , we can control any config parameter deployed in the machine. Being Jenkins, a pioneer in the CI world, I hope there must be some way using these two technologies to get the snapshot of the box deployed with recent and latest product artifact.
The whole point is to achieve the rollback mechanism if something goes wrong with deployment. Before i start the deployment, i would like to take the snapshot of the machine and keep it somewhere (may be in some cache ) and switch it to this snapshot if deployment fails.
