Stop all jobs, backup your data, install on the new node and restore your backup. This should be sufficient.

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to upgrade our Jenkins and hosting
machine to official latest.
Were currently using antique RedHat machine and Jankins
master was not updated for a while.
I would like to keep Jobs history.

Suggestions how?
Pitfalls to be warned?
Keep a complete backup of the old working machine, in case of the unknown.
This is how we got bit in the rump.
