I just tried it out on a repo with 25 branches and I could see that the one branch I pushed to, it immediately started a build for that branch and then continued to check the other branches. I then pushed one of the other branches and it picked that up first and then continued to check the remaining branches so I definitely see improvement in the time it takes to kick the branch build.
