I'm experiencing the same issue that was supposed to be resolved by https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-29280
Our environment is Jenkins 2.32.3 on CentOS ActiveDirectory plugin 2.3 Chrome browser ver 56.0.2924.87 The workaround is to manually edit the username in config.xml and restart Jenkins.
