Please disregard the first part of my message (deffunction extract-pegs)
as there was an extra close-paren, which explains the parse error (curious
that this passed through 4.0, though).

The other parse error I posted had to do with recognizing a dot (.) as
a symbol.  I still think that (sym-cat (str-cat .)) ought to be . rather
than 0.0, but at any rate these rules were being parsed okay in Jess 4.0.
