Hi Duane-
I'm running a system that dynamically creates about 10 engines w/
approximately 50 rules a piece that communicate with each other and a
bayes net through a java interface. The jess engines have never been a
performance hog/memory hog on my P2 266MHz w/ 64M of memory. Obviously
your performance will vary depending upon hardware/rule complexity,
etc. BTW, if you are running in windows the latest version of JDK
(i.e., 1.1.7) claims to have made some performance improvements.
Have fun,
PB
