None of the reflection stuff (defclass, call, get-member, definstance,
etc, etc) will ever work or has ever worked in any version of Netscape
due to browser security restrictions. You can get it to work by using
digital signatures and the Netscape Capabilities API; or, I imagine,
by using digital signatures with the Java plug-in.
I've heard tell that a patch for IE that adds RMI capability is
available from IBM, of all places. Of course, you can also use the Sun
Java Plug-in with IE, which has RMI.
