        No, it's not you - it's a bug. I only recently found this one myself
        (It's fixed in my working copy of 5.0a3.)

        You can patch this yourself in Jess 4.3. At line 361 in
        jess/Rete.java, add the two lines

            m_resetables.removeAllElements();
            m_clearables.removeAllElements();

        and recompile. Thanks for pointing this out.
