                Hi,

I'm not quite sure what your asking, but I haven't seen any
evidence
that Jikes produces bytecodes that cannot run or verify on
Sun's JVM
                (on NT, anyway.)

The specific case we saw was:
1. We compiled classes using Symantec VCafe.
2. We wanted to test those classes using Suntest's JavaSpec, so we ran
them in JavaSpec, and they crashed.
3. We asked tech support at Suntest what the problem was, and they said
to recompile the classes using Sun JDK 1.1.5 or later-
the problem was that the Symantec JDK in the version we were using did not
generate completely compatible bytecodes, even though
the classes would run just fine in most cases.

But I think you've answered my question. Thanks.
