Subject: JESS: Alarms Correlation application in Java
Hello,
For a project we need to choose an expert system toolkit, for
alarms correlation, fault diagnosis and automation of network
management operations. It will be connected to a network
management system, itself connected to the network.
Some of the requirements are:
- It should work in realtime or near realtime, ie inferences when
a new alarm is coming
- It should be written in Java: portable, dynamicity of the
rules,...
- It should be "stable" and have a support organization
- Rules editing should not be too complicate (Java or CLIPS might
be OK, an editor with syntax closer to natural language is
prefered)
- It should not be too expensive (less than 10 K US$)
>From your experience, what do you suggest ? Is JESS meeting the
above criteria ?
Any advice and pointers very appreciated !
Thanks to all of you
