Hi Kenny,
I'm going through bug reports now, thinking about a 5.0a5 release. I'm
happy to report that this bug is already fixed in my working version -
the previously-mentioned "new Funcall mechanism" (which is cleaner and
more general than the old) handles this case with ease. Hope to send
out a new version within a week or two.
