You, sir, are 100% correct. When performing procedural processes, doing simple
algorithmic processes, mathematical calculations, etc., one should always the "mother
tongue," whether that be Java, C/C++ or any other procedural language that lends itself
to that task. It should always (I try to never use that word :-) run faster than
embedding in an inference engine.
