I recently reinstalled both Jess 5.0 and the Java 2 SDK (version 1.2.2)
after a hard disk crash. The installation of the SDK went OK and compiling
Jess 5.0 went without any error messages too. However, when I tried to run
one of the examples, I received the following message (I am running on
Windows 98 SE):
C:\Program Files\Jess50>java jess.Main examples/fullmab.clp
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: jess/Main
Am I missing a setting in my operating system (I do have the path to the
java bin directory set in my autoexec.bat file) or am I running from the
wrong directory? It has been a while since I last installed either the SDK
or Jess and so I am not sure what I had to so before to get all this to run.
Thanks to anyone who has suggestions,
Marvin Pankaskie
