Hello,
Has anybody tried to do search with JESS? (or CLIPS, for that matter). I
mean, rules are a wonderful way to represent search operators (the working
memory being a node of the search tree). Yet, I don't know of any
production system that allows to do generic search. For those who know it,
FRulekit (a Carneggie Melon production system shell), had a backtracking
operator, and it was very easy to do depth search. However, I didn't
figure out how to carry out other kinds of search easily (like best first
search, or beam search). Now, has anybody been able to do AI search with
Jess? Is it planned to give some low level facilities, like backtracking,
for that purpose?
Regards,
Ricardo.
