JESS: Documentation suggestions

Hi -

This is not Jess related but thought I would ask the question here as I am
new to the field and am starting to use Jess.

I was wondering what suggestions anyone might have on documenting the
requirements for an expert system. I am currently using Visio to create a bit
of a flowchart on the steps to take for doing CPR. One problem I have is that
I need to keep referencing facts determined previously to show how the
process should be directed, but that seems to lead to making the diagram
overly complex to follow. Should I just bite the bullet and accept that is
the why it is, or might anyone have suggestions on how to diagram a process
in general?
