A question that I would ask is: do you have a "process" to be used in acquiring knowledge ? One recommendation would be to look at KADS. It is not RUP (Rational Unified Process) nor like any of the O-O methodologies (Booch, Rumbaugh, Jacobson), but is geared directly to inferencing systems. There is a new book available and if anyone is interested I can post the ISBN. With respect to Protege 2000, I am currently looking at it in the context of "intelligent agents" because it has a Java API for interaction (in addition to it's IDE). So far, it would appear that it may be integrated very easily with any Java program. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gavin Nunns" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, February 22, 2001 7:31 PM Subject: JESS: Knowledge Auisition systems for Jess > Hello > > I am currently working on a project that involves developing a corrosion > expert system.
