Hello there,

You might be interested in FIPA-OS, an open source component-based toolkit enabling rapid development of FIPA compliant agents in Java. It has support for building JESS agents as well, so it might save you lot of work. For people looking for tutorials, FIPA-OS tutorial has a section on using the JESS agent as well, although it is very simple. FIPA-OS can be downloaded from http://fipa-os.sourceforge.net.

Subject: JESS: setting rules for e-commerce applications?

hi all,
I'm doing a prototype of agent based marketplace for my final year project. For that I have created buyer Agent and Seller Agents. So far what i have done was up to the extent of getting the best proposel out from all the Seller Agents. But that's not enough for my project, I need buyer and seller to interact accordint to the rules which was set by respective end users. Can someone please explain me how can an Expert System Shell like Jess be helpful for the domain of buying/selling good's over the Internet? I can easilly add Jess for my Seller/Buyer Agents and also can do the java programming part. I just need some good ideas and maybe if there are any sample clp's examples for the domain of e-commerce.
Regards,
Muthu
