AFAIK there is a Java 2 beta for Mac OS X, but otherwise you're
probably right. I'm not a Mac expert, but I've been looking for
Java implementations for Mac to support a project I'm on, and
JDK 1.1.8 seems to be the latest if you're on OS 9 or earlier.
