Hi Simon, I am doing my final thesis which involves JESS and I have found the references supplied by "ejfried" in the documentation very helpfull. Especially "Expert Systems, Principles and Programming" by Giarrantano & Riley ISBN 0-534-95053-1 which is a good introduction to clips.
For Java "Thinking in Java" by Bruce Eckel is a good and inexpensive choice since you can download it for free from http://www.bruceeckel.com/. A usergroup style website for java questions also recommended by Bruce Eckel is: http://www.javaranch.com/index.html but there is an abundance of information, tutorials and code examples all over the web. /regards Mikael -----Original Message----- From: Simon Collins [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, October 04, 2001 5:29 PM To: Jess Users Subject: JESS: Request for Information Hi All, I am a new JESS user. I am also fairly new to Java. I am developing an expert system to support an IT help desk using JESS. This is for my final year in college. I am looking for any information, examples, advice etc. that may help me with this project, especially past projects of this type. Thanks. Simon Collins. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send the words 'unsubscribe jess-users [EMAIL PROTECTED]' in the BODY of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED], NOT to the list (use your own address!)
