Periodically questions like <how to have more rete engines> shows up
the
mailing list. I would like to know if these engines can somehow operate on
the same fact basis or if it is possible to make a copy of the engine (a
clone), so the engines live their own life. I know that this copying of
all of the facts can lead to a big waste memory space, but for some
applications like qualitative simulation (QSIM) non-determinism is
necesarry.
Maybe it would not be necasarry to copy the engines, just the
fact-list (but after that it's important to make sure that the
rules don't activate from different sets of facts). I don't know, how it
could be implemented well, in spite of a tried to find a way reading the
source code. Maybe it's already done ??..
