We've had one preview release already; more release will follow soon,
and a beta program should start in earnest in Q2, with a final release
soon after.

Note that Jess 6 already supports JSR94. The JSR94 reference
implementation is a Jess driver. There will, however, be an improved
driver in Jess 7.

After looking at the various emerging standard XML rule languages, it
was apparent to me that none of them would support round-trip
translation into the Jess rule language; none of them are rich enough
for that, as Jess's language is more than a logic language. On the
other hand, translating between XML dialects is simple enough using
XSLT. So what Jess 7 will natively support will be its own XML format,
but we will provide XSLT scripts that translate to and from several
other languages, including (and especially) DAML and RuleML.
