Hi Ernest,

Now that I've been using the JessDE editor for a while, I have a
question/suggestion regarding the how parenthesis are handled. When I
open parenthesis, the JessDE editor automatically appends a closing
paren after the cursor. This is nice, however, when I close the paren,
I now have two closing parens. I've been trying to retrain myself to
use the arrow key instead of entering a closing paren, but its not going
well. ;)

I do kind of like what the Eclipse Java editor does with double quoted
strings (and parens for that matter). In the Java editor, when I enter
a double-quote to begin a string, the editor automatically appends a
closing double-quote just after the cursor just as the Jess editor does
with parens. However, in Java when I type a closing double-quote, the
editor 'uses' the double-quote that it appended for me when I started
the string definition. This allows me to type what I'm thinking rather
than having to remember what the editor wants me to do (i.e. hit the
right-arrow key instead of close-paren).

Would it be possible to mimic the Eclipse Java editor's behavior instead
of, or as an option/alternative to the current behavior?
