You can use your operating system's facilities for this -- i.e., the
"Task Manager" on Windows. Alternatively, JDK 1.5 includes a nifty new
"management console" which lets you see various JVM statistics in real
time.

Finally, you could code something in Jess itself -- i.e., by invoking
the java.lang.Runtime.freeMemory() method.
