When Jess 8 rolls around, it will require Java 5 or better; at that point, it 
would definitely make sense to try to accomodate Java 5 language changes. In 
fact, it's likely that for Jess 8, we'll fix a lot of the legacy API issues 
and not maintain full source compatibility with earlier versions of Jess.

Thank you. We try. Of course, we do consider Jess itself to be a commercial
