When Jess 8 rolls around, it will require Java 5 or better; at that point, it would definitely make sense to try to accomodate Java 5 language changes. In fact, it's likely that for Jess 8, we'll fix a lot of the legacy API issues and not maintain full source compatibility with earlier versions of Jess. > Again, thanks for all those quick and complete answers, many commercial > products(!) doesn't have such a good "customer service". > Thank you. We try. Of course, we do consider Jess itself to be a commercial product. --------------------------------------------------------- Ernest Friedman-Hill Advanced Software Research Phone: (925) 294-2154 Sandia National Labs FAX: (925) 294-2234 PO Box 969, MS 9012 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Livermore, CA 94550 http://www.jessrules.com -------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send the words 'unsubscribe jess-users [EMAIL PROTECTED]' in the BODY of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED], NOT to the list (use your own address!)
