Hi Kavya,

I gather from your questions that you are not a Java programmer, is that
correct? If this is so, then you have a steep hill to climb in learning
Java proper, Java web application development, and Jess. Though having
previous knowledge of CLIPS does lessen the learning curve with Jess, I
don't recommend that you try them all at once.

It would help us to help you if you would be very specific and tell us the
purpose of your application first. Jess is not a tool for developing
web-based applications per se -- you have to have a concrete reason for
using it. You can certainly build web-based applications without using
Java, too.

Have a look at this first:

Once you've read that, if you have any other questions, you can email me
directly at [email protected]

Cheers,
Jason
