Fivefold Ministry Anointings in Business (the Last Day of the Saints)
By Dr Bill Hamon
Christ Jesus gave specific responsibilities to those He called to fivefold
ministry.
Apostles are like founders or entrepreneurs who launch divisions of God's
enterprise on planet Earth. Prophets are like strategists who plan and evaluate
how to meet the Kingdom objectives. Evangelists are the sales managers who
inspire their team to expand the business. Teachers may be likened to trainers
who ground the workers in the principles, products, and service of the
organization. Pastors are similar to local business managers of units or
branches who oversee the regular operations of their people, encourage them to
meet their full potential, and help them work together as a team. The Saints,
those who have answered the call to serve as officers of God's Kingdom, must
now enforce Kingdom rule in the arenas in which they function. This often means
overcoming the kingdom of darkness.
GOD'S KINGDOM IS INVADING THE DARKNESS ISAIAH 61:1-4 says:
The Year of the LORD 's Favor
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the
prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion- to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of
praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the
display of his splendor.
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.
Isaiah 61:1-4 was Jesus' mandate and it is now the Saints mandate.
God's Criteria for Success
By Dr Bill Hamon
In order for Christians to have a proper sense of success and fulfillment, they
must have a clear understanding of how God views success, prosperity, and
fulfillment of destiny. Success according to the world's standard is the
accumulation of wealth, honor, position, prestige, power, and material things,
regardless of the cost to personal life, family, and spiritual life. Success
according to God's standard is not based upon world's ideas of success, but
upon whether a person is fulfilling his calling and ministry regardless of what
or where it is. THE MOST SUCCESFUL CHRISTIANS ARE THOSE WHO COME TO KNOW THEIR
CALLING, UNDERSTAND THEIR SPECIAL GIFTING, AND FAITHFULLY STAY WITH THAT
CALLING UNTIL THEY FULFILL THEIR MEMBERSHIP MINISTRY.
God's only criterion for reward is, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
Every Christian wants to hear those words from the mouth of God. Scripture
tells us that those words are said to those who are faithful to use what they
are given by reproducing more and prospering. A successful and prosperous
person according to God, has found his calling, and is progressively fulfilling
it in alignment with God's Word, will and way.
WHERE ARE THE SAINTS ?
By Dr Bill Hamon
Much research and evaluation have determined that only two percent of
Christians earn their living and fulfill their ministry working inside the
local church or non-profit ministries, while 98 percent of the Saints work and
fulfill their ministry outside the local church. In other word, two percent are
pastors and church staff. This figure would be even less if you counted only
those who do the priestly ministry in the church. Ninety-eight percent of
Saints earn their income, do their work, and fulfill their profession outside
the walls of the local church. The Church has provided training and equipping
by teaching and enabling those who are called to minister in the pulpit. But we
have not adequately taught and enabled those who are called to minister in the
marketplace and public square. This is an urgent need to prepare the Church for
the Day of the Saints.
HOLY SPIRIT RENEWAL VS. A RESTORATIONAL MOVE OF GOD
By Dr Bill Hamon
The Day of the Saints will contain many of the elements of other restoration
movements and renewals. The Holy Spirit will probably use the same pattern He
has used in bringing about other restoration movements. Most of the restoration
movements were preceded by a Holy Spirit sovereign move of revival and renewal.
A few examples are the Welsh Revival that took place just before the
Pentacostal Movement; the Charismatic Renewal, which happened before the
Prophetic Movement; and the "Toronto Blessing" or refreshing that occurred just
before the Apostolic Movement. Therefore, we expect there will also be a
sweeping sovereign refreshing move of the Holy Spirit to prepare the way for
the activating of the Saints Movement. Every movement is preceded by
intensified praying and is birthed by intercessory prayer.
